2000-02-23 00:00:00 11 -There is a article in the Natchez Democrat about me today. If this link works, you can find the story here.
2000-02-21 00:00:00 10 -I finally got my computer to run X with a 1024x768 resolution clearly. It has been at 1024x768 for a while but it looked like crud because there was a lot of noise being displayed. First I derived the dot clock for my vid card anrd and then made up some horizontal and vertical line lengths. After some manipulation I got something that works with absolutely no video noise or drawing errors. Eventually I am going to put up my new XF86Config in my linux section so all of my fellow HP POS users can see it.
2000-02-18 00:00:00 9 -Yesterday Mrs Jones got back my real scores from the Math and Science compitition at MC. Being a moron I had filled in the bubble for the chem test on my bio test. Luckily the people rescored my my test with the bio key and I got 74/100 instead of 11/100. That puts me in the upper 1% and earns a $2000 scholarship to MC if I major in biology (ewwww).
2000-02-16 00:00:00 8 -I got another scholarship. Info about it is at MS State's web page.
2000-02-11 00:00:00 7 -My truck would not start yesterday so I got to drive the wonderful Jeep to school. Luckily the truck problem was traced to corrosion on the ba the battery terminals and everything worked very well this morning.
2000-01-31 00:00:00 6 -Had our last soccer game tonight against Cathedral. Lost 6-0. Well we had a 8-1 season because Wesson forfitted against us because they were afraid to come to Natchez. As for the season the worst we ever lost was 9-0 to Cathedral the first time we played them. For a first year team we did really good. On Cathedral's first year they lost 15-0 and up so we really did not do too bad.
2000-01-26 00:00:00 5 -Wow it has been a long time since I have been here. I now have my linux box running great, its name is now Mangelred from a reference in Tom Wolfe's book The Bonfire of the Vanities. For Christmas I got a wonderful RedHat 6 Unleashed and I got GNOME to start using fonts instead of large black boxes. Yah.
1999-12-16 00:00:00 4 -I got my Red Hat 6.1 in yesterday. I still have lots of setting up to do. Currently I cannot get GNOME to run correctly but this morning I got my my soundcard up.
1999-12-14 00:00:00 3 -It is almost the middle of exam week for me. Since I am a senior, I could have taken the easy route and taken only 1.5 classes to graduate but I decided to take a full schedule of 7 classes. My bio exam was planned for today, but there happened to be a serious test paper shortage. Really I will not have anymore exams because there is no exam in Drafting 2, I wrote a paper for english, did an assignment for computer applications, no exam in european, and no exam in band.
1999-12-12 00:00:00 2 -I am now eighteen. It is sort of like being seventeen except that I am eighteen. No big change in anything. The name of my Linux partition has been changed from "Polycro" to "Ernie." My moniter is also now adorned with a yellow ducky. My windows partition is still called "computer" because it is not worthy of an original name. For my birthday my mother ordered me a real, real being the key word here, Redhat 6.1 cd. It is in the mail sl so it may be a few more days before I can play with it.
